9 cities I visited in 2018 & plans for 2019!

2018 was for sure a year I will never forget. I traveled to so many new places and for the first time flew to Canada/USA. Also some of the places I never really talked about on here and I thought it would be nice to put it all in a post.

Visiting new places to me is the best thing in the world. If I could, I would travel all year around. The urge to see and discover new parts of the world is so big for me. I am the type of person who would rather spend all of their money on a trip to a city in Europe, than buying myself new clothes or new make up.

Started my year off by visiting Prague for a day with two of my best friends. It was a very spontaneous trip, as a friend of mine (who is from NYC) was in Prague, and I decided to travel there in mid March. It was freezing cold that day, I remember it so clearly. But we still had so much fun. We took lots of pictures. Prague is so beautiful and holds so much history.

April 2018

In total I visited the beautiful capital of Hungary three times this year and I honestly can say it has been an absolute adventure every time I have been there. I love how the city has this chill vibe to it and the vegan options are ENDLESS.

July 2018 – The Hungarian Parlament

When I visited in July I basically saw the whole of the city by myself and it was one of my favourite days of 2018. You can read more about that here.

June 2018

My one true love: London. 3 times this year. Ever since I have been little I have been dreaming to visit this incredible city in Britain. Back in 2013 I flew for the very first time with my school and our destination was: Brighton/London. Since that trip I have been fascinated by this city. Not only because some of my dear friends live in and around London, but because it has something so special about it. I can’t even put it into words. Can’t wait to be back in my favourite city in 2019!

Ocotober 2018

I talked about visiting Zurich back in June in this blog post but there is still so many pictures I wanna share with you guys. This city is truly one of the most beautiful and historical cities Europe has to offer. Switzerland in general really has its own vibe. Usually they say Germany, Austria and Switzerland are the same (we all speak the same language) but I couldn’t disagree more. Each of these countries are so individual to themselves. Zurich not only is very expensive but has this originality to it.

Sanski Most

My home. Sanski Most is a little city in the north-west of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This is the city my dad is from and where I spend all my summers growing up. It truly has my heart. If you ever have the chance of visiting Bosnia, please do so. You will not regret it. In my opinion the most beautiful country in the world. (not biased at all)

This year I finally got around to visiting Italy for the first time ever. Even though it was probably the hottest days of the year (it was literally 38 degrees every single day), I enjoyed it so much. Rome is a city I studied a lot about in school and at university. It was always a dream of mine to visit and see all the incredible historical sites.

My highlight of 2018. Visiting the beautiful country that is Canada. I obviously imagined it to be great, but it was everything and more than that. Yes, Canadian are the nicest people EVER. I CAN CONFIRM IT. Every encounter I had with an employee in a shop was always so so so lovely. Vancouver is so beautiful. I am honestly gonna start crying writing this, that’s how much I miss this city. Hopefully I can go back one day.

While I was in Canada I was also lucky enough to see some of the Canadian countryside and let me tell you, it was one of the most gorgeous things I have ever seen in my life before. We stayed at the most beautiful lake house and even tho we were there for just two days, it was one of the best weekends of 2018.

FIRST TIME IN AMERICA AND IT WAS THE BEST DAY EVER. It was my biggest dream to visit the United States of America and I finally did. Even though we were there for only a few hours, it was so much fun. We visited the nicest restaurant, where we also got to do some beer tasting.

If you ever happen to be in Seattle by chance, I encourage you to please go visit the Pike Brewing Company at the Peer.

It was such a gorgeous day as well, so really the perfect day to explore a bit of a new city. One of my highlights this year.

My plans for 2019 is definitely to go back to the US. I really wanna visit New York City and Washington, DC. I hope I can make it happen. The only thing that I have booked so far is … LONDON. really a surprise to everyone, haha. One week in August and seeing Ariana Grande in concert with my best friend. Being in London while summer time is the best. I really can’t wait and also planning on visiting the Harry Potter studios. I wanna go back to Italy and visit countries like Spain and Rumania for the first time.

This years travels really thought me a lot and how you can always safe some money. I am excited to explore new places, even if that means going by myself. Its going to be great year of traveling, I can already feel it. tell me: What are your travel plans for 2019?

Yours truly,

  1. Those all look like wonderful places to visit! I have never been to any of them sadly lol My only trip last year really was to New Hampshire and New Orleans! Hopefully, I will be able to get some more travel this year πŸ™‚

  2. These photos are so pretty! The one from Rome makes me want to go back to Italy so bad. Also the moment of hesitation (from the States) at 38 degrees being the warmest day…oh. Great read! Does my inner travel bug some good.

  3. I went to London in 2018 as well and absolutely fell in love with it. I’m such an Anglophile so getting to London was a dream. It was such a blissful 10 days. For 2019, I have plans for Spain, Portugal, and Puerto Rico.

    Thanks for sharing! x
